LaParis Phillips, a St. Louis native, has called New York City home for the past 14 years. Her love for flowers and creative expression began at her family’s business, Balloons Unlimited. Though she primarily worked with balloons, she was always drawn to the flowers. While studying Fashion Marketing, LaParis began working at a flower shop to learn a new craft an experience that laid the foundation for her floral design expertise and introduced her to the inner workings of the flower industry.

In 2015, she launched Brooklyn Blooms from her Bed-Stuy apartment, aiming to fill a void in the floral and events space with her bold, fashion-forward approach to design. What began as a creative outlet has grown into a beloved Brooklyn brand, known for its distinctive style and vibrant arrangements.

Over the years, LaParis has created floral experiences on Caribbean beaches, led national campaigns, designed for countless weddings and events, and fulfilled thousands of daily orders. Brooklyn Blooms has been featured in The Knot, New York Design, Luxe Magazine, and numerous design blogs. The brand has also collaborated with major clients including Meta, Audible, West Elm, Tiffany & Co., Aerie, Moët Hennessy, Mejuri, and Banana Republic to name a few.

With two locations in the heart of Bedford Stuyvesant its flagship on Nostrand Avenue (celebrating seven years) and its HQ on Fulton Street (celebrating four) Brooklyn Blooms continues to blossom as a neighborhood staple and was recently named a “Neighborhood Favorite” by Nextdoor.
